What it is:

The UCC Filings allows users to search Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) records filed in various U.S. States to reveal any other individuals or entities that have filed a lien against collateral pledged on a loan.

After conducting the initial UCC Search, additional details may also retrieved for any matched record and UCC Report.

What it does:

Information returned on MicroBilt's UCC Filings may include:

  • Debtor name and address
  • Filing State
  • Filing date
  • Original filing date and number
  • Document number
  • Legal type
  • Secured Parties*
  • Debtor Parties*
  • Secured Party’s name
  • Secured Party’s Address
  • Filings
  • Collateral

*Search returns only a count. Individual items are only available in the full UCC filing’s report.

What it is used for:

UCC Filings data is useful for verifying collateral assets for loan originations. In addition because debtors often have liens through commercial institutions, UCC Filings can be helpful for skip tracing purposes as well.

How to Navigate the Product Center

Keyword Search - Enter any keywords into the search box on the Home page and click the magnifying glass icon to display results that match your keywords.

Topic Type Filter - - Filter topics displayed in the results window by selecting specific topic types on the left side navigation menu that you want to focus on. Select one or multiple topic types.

Use Case Filter - Filter results displayed in the results window by selecting specific use cases on the left side navigation menu that you want to focus on. Select one or multiple use cases.

View Results - Select the "View Results" link on the right side of any result to view more detailed information about the topic. Additional subtabs may be displayed on the detailed information screen as available in the knowledgebase. Subtabs may be selected to find out more information about the topic such as: Search Options, Data Coverage, Supporting Documents (i.e. Sample Reports, Product Sheets, etc.), and other useful information.
